Structured feedback submission for Stage 1 Community Review.
All feedback submitted during Stage 1 Community Review is logged in the public Feedback Registry, reviewed by the framework authors, and responded to with a documented disposition. The structured format below defines what information is required for each submission.
Feedback is organized into seven categories. Select the category that best describes your submission. If your feedback spans multiple categories, submit it under the primary category and note the secondary categories in the Feedback Summary field.
| Category | Covers | Primary Documents |
|---|---|---|
| Definitions | Canonical term definitions, terminology, vocabulary choices | Canonical Definitions |
| Classification | Classification tiers, criteria A/B/C, derivation rules, system taxonomy | Classification, Evaluation Process |
| Evaluation Methodology | Test methodology, required inputs, evidence hierarchy, evaluation process | Reference Test Methodology, Evaluation Inputs |
| Governance | Document classification, versioning, revision policy, custodianship | Governance Framework |
| Adoption | Implementation pathways, procurement guidance, citation formats, adoption roadmap | Adoption Hub |
| Research Applications | Research use, citation in peer review, study design, validation methodology | Research Reference, Citation Guidelines |
| General Comments | Any feedback that does not fit the above categories, or cross-cutting observations | Any document |
The following fields are required for all submissions. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory. Submissions missing required fields will be acknowledged but may be returned for completion before being entered in the registry.
The SFR framework is a proposed standard hosted on a static website. Feedback submissions are received through the contact channel and processed manually into the feedback registry. This is appropriate for the current stage — the volume of community review feedback at Stage 1 does not require automated processing infrastructure.
Complete the fields in Section 2 and send your submission via the contact page. Use the subject line format: SFR Feedback — [Category] — [Organization]. You will receive an acknowledgment within 14 days confirming receipt and your Feedback ID. Your submission will then appear in the Feedback Registry with status: Open.
Feedback may also be submitted as a structured document (PDF, Word, or plain text) if the submission is lengthy or includes supporting evidence. The same required fields apply.
Organizations wishing to provide comprehensive review of an entire document section are encouraged to do so — multi-point submissions from a single organization are entered as separate registry items by category and section, not as a single entry.
There is no minimum level of expertise required to submit feedback. If you tried to use the framework and found it confusing, that finding is exactly the kind of feedback that improves it.
Stage 1 Community Review is not a waiting period. It is the active phase during which the framework is tested by people who did not write it, in contexts its authors may not have anticipated. Every substantive submission reduces the risk that a gap or ambiguity makes it into v1.0. The feedback registry is not a side document — it is the evidentiary record that a community review process actually occurred.
